City Councilmember Salaries as of April 2012: In an effort to improve transparency, we are providing the most current salary information for City Councilmembers. Each Councilmember is paid $556 every month for City Council duties. Also, each Councilmember is provided with health, dental, and vision insurance benefits (cost varies depending on the type of plan chosen and number of dependents) and employer-paid CalPERS retirement contributions. The following amounts reflect the total monthly compensation for each Councilmember.
